Transient Dockage

At Vinings Landing we offer transient dockage year round. If you are looking for a night, week or month we have the slip for you. Dockage is available for vessels up to 70' with 30amp, 50amp or twin 30amp in select locations. WiFi is also available for a small fee for either an hour, day or month. Pump out service, fuel and great restaurants are just a moment away along with quick airport access to Norfolk International.

Whatever your needs are we should be able to accommodate you ourselves or through our local partners.

Call ahead 757.587.8000 to make a reservation or hail us on channel 16 as you arrive and we will do everything possible to accommodate your needs. If you are arriving after our operating hours you can tie to the fuel dock and someone will knock on the boat in the morning to check you in and assign a slip if needed.

Rates

  • $5/hour - Electric included
  • $2/ft/day - Electric $9 30amp / $15 50amp & twin 30amp
  • $6/ft/week - Electric metered @ .12/kWh
  • $12/ft/month - Electric metered @ .12/kWh
  • A copy of your insurance must be provided at time of check in along with current documentation.
  • All dockage will be taxed at 5% not including electric charges.

Please notify the marina office if customs will need to be called and arrangements will be made.

Transient dockage is only allowed for three (3) months at which time a regular dockage agreement must be signed.

 

Directions

  • From the Atlantic cross over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel through the Thimble Shoal Channel. Take a port turn at either the flashing green 9 buoy or flashing green 11 buoy towards the green 1LC buoy and the red 2 buoy. Follow the channel in with the condos on your starboard side. Make a starboard turn at the point/end of the condos. Be sure not to encroach into the Navy's waters which are located beyond the string of bright orange floats. No Wake Zone begins after starboard turn with Bay Point Marina directly at starboard with Little Creek Marina directly past Bay Point. Vinings Landing is located on the port side of the channel next to the Pretty Lake Bridge. The fuel dock is located parallel to the channel next to the Sunoco sign with a side tie available if arriving after hours.
  • From the Chesapeake Bay locate the Thimble Shoal Channel. Take a starboard turn at either the flashing green 13 buoy or flashing green 11 buoy towards the green 1LC buoy and the red 2 buoy. Follow the channel in with the condos on your starboard side. Make a starboard turn at the point/end of the condos. Be sure not to encroach into the Navy's waters which are located beyond the string of bright orange floats. No Wake Zone begins after starboard turn with Bay Point Marina directly at starboard with Little Creek Marina directly past Bay Point. Vinings Landing is located on the port side of the channel next to the Pretty Lake Bridge.   • From the Intra Coastal Waterway mile marker "0". Follow the Elizabeth River through downtown Norfolk while keeping the Navy ships to starboard. After passing the Navy docks cross over the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. After the tunnel find the Thimble Shoal Channel at green 21 buoy. Take a starboard turn at either the flashing green 13 buoy or flashing green 11 buoy towards the green 1LC buoy and the red 2 buoy. Follow the channel in with the condos on your starboard side. Make a starboard turn at the point/end of the condos. Be sure not to encroach into the Navy's waters which are located beyond the string of bright orange floats. No Wake Zone begins after starboard turn with Bay Point Marina directly at starboard with Little Creek Marina directly past Bay Point.
